Founded more than thirty years ago, the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) is the state's largest soccer organization. HYSA is part of United States Youth Soccer (USYS), which is the largest national association of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). HYSA is recognized by USSF and the U.S. Olympic Committee as the governing body for youth soccer in our state. HYSA offers programs for players at the select and premier levels on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island through our member leagues and clubs. The state's top soccer clubs are proud members of HYSA and compete on Oahu under the Oahu League (OL). HYSA is a non-profit corporation and it is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors solely for the benefit of Hawaii’s children.
For the most talented and promising players, the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association operates its Olympic Development Program, which gives players the opportunity to represent the state at the regional and national level. Graduates of the Hawaii Olympic Development Program have been part of the U.S. National Team(s) and have played professionally in the MLS, WPS and even at the FIFA World Cup.
